Stella

Rebel

Stella is an assertive, confident girl who is taking her job as protector very seriously at a young age. Stella is a  working livestock guard dog; protecting sheep, goats, chickens, horses and children.  She has integrated well with our other dogs.  (3 Anatolian adults and 2 older small sized dogs).   Top photos are 7 months old, pictured alone and with her dad, Mosby.  First two bottom row photos at 4 months old.  Last two, Stella at 7 weeks old.  At 7 months old, Stella is approximately 65 lbs.

Rebel is a working livestock guard dog in Ontario Canada.  His new family includes sheep, a female Anatolian, named Tulah, Border Collies (& their pups) as well as a family of humans.  Although he is still young, he is quite serious about his job and has been known to run off packs of coyotes. He is famous for his high fives and is reported to be quite a big boy. Rebel looks very much like his father Mosby.  Top 6 photos taken at 7 months.  Bottom 3 photos at 7 weeks.  At 7 months old Rebel's weight is approximately 100 lbs.  At 8 months old Rebel is 32 " at the shoulder and 122.5 lbs.

Karli

Karli's family says "we couldn't be more in love with Karli".  She is a working livestock guard dog keeping herself busy looking after goat herds. Apparently she greets her humans with some sort of deep growl howl thing which always puts a smile on their face. Her partner is a male Anatolian by the name of "Eats".  Karli and Eats have reportedly divvied up their duties and are working well as a team.  Her family claims she too is a big girl who is nearly as tall as Eats and quite a bit "stockier".  Top photos 7 months old with Eats.  Below photos as a 7 week old pup.

River & Pokey

River is a brindle female pup that relocated to Saskatchewan Canada where she was to work as a livestock guard dog.  They too had coyote problems.  We have not had any updates on River.  Photos above are 7 weeks old.

Pokey, a white male was also intended to be a working livestock guard dog for a goat herd.. It has been reported that he has a bit of an aggressive edge toward the other dogs in the family and is still working on integrating well with the Border Collies.  The photos of Pokey above are 7 weeks old.

Mosby and K are both AKC registered which makes their puppies eligible for registration with the AKC.  They are both working livestock guard dogs (LGD) who watch over sheep, lambs, goats and even chickens.  They also spend quite a bit of time patrolling the perimeter fence of the horse fields in addition to spending quality time with their children (our daughters).  They both have wonderful temperaments and personify what we are looking for in an Anatolian Shepherd.    Please also visit our Anatolian Shepherd Dog Page.

Mosby

Mosby is a currently 33" at the shoulder and approximately 140 lbs (He is a big boy!).  It is difficult to capture in pictures what I would call presence but Mosby has presence and seems to have become more self possessed and mature over the past 6 months.  He is affectionate with his humans and always walks with what I consider to be the proper posture when with the sheep.  He is an athletic dog with the ability to keep up with K (to her surprise), who is much lighter in build than he is, when running in the field.   He has what we call with our horses a kind eye but is serious about his work.

Kamille (aka 'K' or 'Kiki')

K stands 29" at the shoulder and weighs in at 100lbs.  She is an affectionate feminine looking bitch with great athleticism.  I do not think I can capture with words her nimbleness but try to picture her jumping and spinning her body around (going from side-by-side with Mosby to in front of him) in midair when at the run.  She seems to be just crackling with energy which I chalk up to both personality and age.  She came to us at 18 months of age but quickly began to learn the ropes with Mosby.  She will patrol the fence line of the pastures with Mose and is first to the gate when someone shows up.  Her most endearing trait has to be the way she lavishes affection on us all.  We typically don't bring adults dogs/bitches into our little pack but I could not be happier with her.
